This week I took a trip to the Saatchi Gallery to explore the Hermes Festival Des Metiers exhibition. The two gallery spaces gave you a chance to meet the craftsmen and see how they work to produce their signature silk scarves, jersey womenswear garments, diamond pyramid cuffs, watches and the famous Kelly handbag. The super-talented workers train for at least four years, with the lovely lady who showcased how the jersey & silk t-shirts were hand produced, having worked with Hermes for 24 years! I really enjoyed watching how the Kelly bag was made and have such an appreciation for how these products are all hand rendered with such attention to detail by amazing Parisian craftsmen & women- for me this really justifies their price points.

Peachy Keen
I've been working a little more on my swimwear and made a few pieces for my holiday last week!
I made a peach twist bandeau bikini top and matching high waisted peplum detailed bottoms. I also made a simple bandeau top with a turquoise trinket embellishment- all cut from a pattern made from scratch. Plus I also produced a pom pom customised sarong and a peach satin top with lemon grosgrain ribbon-tie back- pretty cute aye?
I'm currently working on the look of my swimwear brand aswell as the name!
Watch this space!
