Handbag Crush

It was love at first sight when I saw Mulberry's new Tillie bag! It's similar to the Alexa but more of a briefcase style and in gorgeous varieties of colour. I particularly like the 'powder beige sparkle tweed' colour, a cute pinky colour for spring/summer. Harrods are giving their staff a 50% discount day in March after breaking their billion-pound target so I may have to set my sights on that!

A Day In the Life of a Fashion Intern...

Today was the presentation of the AW11 Red Label collection where I helped dress and style the models in all the gorgeous clothes! I've put up a few sneak peek photos, love the sequins! I won't be naughty and put up any photos of the show pieces though...not until after the show on Feb 20th! <3

The Wallace Collection

I'm currently working on a project that involves designing a range of products for shop of the beautiful Wallace Collection gallery. The range is inspired by the armour collection to be displayed there in 2012. I visited the gallery last week to see the armour exhibited at the moment; it's amazing to see it in real life...and a bit scary!

Today is the second day of my interning at VIVIENNE WESTWOOD! I've had a great day that included trying on the Red Label collection all day to help head of the design studio, Murray Blewett and his team choose how to style the garments. The show pieces arrived today too, will try and get some photos/ drawings up soon!

Wowza! Dior Paris Couture

I was totally blown away by John Galliano's Couture collection for Christian Dior. Inspired by Rene Gruau's fashion illustrations, Galliano has translated the beautiful classic Dior drawings into water coloured, flower and feather embellished gowns. After visiting the exhibition of Gruau's work at Somerset house last month, it's great to see the drawings sprung to life...tulle and all!

A BIG clue as to where I will be doing my internship starting the end of January til the end of February...EXCITED!!!

I want this chandelier!

The One That Got Away

A few days ago, Coco Rocha posted this beautiful photo on her twitter, revealing it as the image that famously got away in The September Issue in which Anna Wintour dismissed the photo from going into print, outraging the wonderful Grace Coddington and we can now see why. The photo by Steven Meisel is AMAZING, I love it. It's very Romeo and Juliet, very romantic...I also love the French Bulldogs in the ruffs, I want some for my doggies!

Tangerine Dream

One of my most favourite trends for SS11 is the tangerine and coral coloured theme. I bought this cute playsuit when I travelled to Thailand in July and can't wait to wear it this summer...although I have to look past this horrible english weather first, I have something to look forward to!

Smythson January

As we all know, January we have to invest in a new diary to help us through the year, so this year i have invested in a Smythson Panama diary in Emerald and I love it. I thought I'd opt for a vibrant green for a change and to add a bit of a colour splash into my handbag. It's so handy, I really recommend it- it's only early January and I'm a fully converted Smythson fan!

That Orange Box...

There's nothing like opening an orange box on Christmas day!
I received this gorgeous Hermes tan purse clutch...

Tom Ford Womenswear SS11

Finally a video has been released of Tom Ford's top-secret SS11 womenswear presentation. It features the likes of Daphne Guinness, Beyonce, Julianne Moore as well as the who's who of supermodels on the runway. The clothes are BEAUTIFUL i'm very impressed and jealous that I wasn't there! Enjoy!

Dior Illustrated

I finally got round to visiting one of the brilliant exhibitions out at the moment- Rene Gruau & The Line of Beauty. He created some of the most iconic fashion illustrations and beauty images of the 20th Century for Christian Dior. The exhibition was great, I managed to take a few sneaky snaps of my favourite and most inspirational images!

This is an image in response to Rene Gruau's work by Richard Kilroy named All Caught Up.
I really like his illustration and the way he is inspired by Gruau's humorous depiction of men. A very beautiful and technical drawing!
