I strongly recommend you all to visit Harrods this month for the Christian Dior exhibition and pop up cafe on the fourth floor < 3
You can have afternoon tea in the cafe- I opted for the scallops with spinach & crab and pomme puree with a glass of raspberry & vanilla lemonade ummmmhmmmmm.
You can then have a stroll through the exhibition featuring couture from the man himself through to John Galliano and Raf Simons. Also check out the telephone box a la Dior that will spritz you with Miss Dior perfume < 3

Wowza! Dior Paris Couture

I was totally blown away by John Galliano's Couture collection for Christian Dior. Inspired by Rene Gruau's fashion illustrations, Galliano has translated the beautiful classic Dior drawings into water coloured, flower and feather embellished gowns. After visiting the exhibition of Gruau's work at Somerset house last month, it's great to see the drawings sprung to life...tulle and all!

Dior Illustrated

I finally got round to visiting one of the brilliant exhibitions out at the moment- Rene Gruau & The Line of Beauty. He created some of the most iconic fashion illustrations and beauty images of the 20th Century for Christian Dior. The exhibition was great, I managed to take a few sneaky snaps of my favourite and most inspirational images!

This is an image in response to Rene Gruau's work by Richard Kilroy named All Caught Up.
I really like his illustration and the way he is inspired by Gruau's humorous depiction of men. A very beautiful and technical drawing!
