Ibizaaaaa!

Last week I enjoyed an amazing week in Ibiza! This is my fifth time to the island and every time I visit, I have a different experience which I love about it. This time my three friends and I had a fun week, visiting events and locations that I had never tried before so it was great to all be trying something new at the same time...

My outfit of choice for this long day was a Topshop bandeau bikini top and skirt, Miu Miu tortoise shell sunglasses, an embroided beach bag that I purchased in a market in Thailand 3 years ago and Zara sandals.

Experimental Cocktail Beach Club- where we were served an Old Cuban cocktail in a giant pearly shell whilst watching the sun set on Salinas beach <3

A particular highlight of the holiday was on the Thursday when we had a lovely relaxing shopping day in Ibiza Old Town and then went onto The Experimental Cocktail Beach Club in Las Salinas for some drinks to watch the sunset before moving onto a very contrasting night of clubbing in Amnesia to see Calvin Harris!

Ocean Beach Club was fun, where we had a shell bed to ourselves and enjoyed frozen cocktails whilst listening to the DJ all day before having a lovely sushi lunch and watching the sun set at 9pm with a bellini- perfect! Gorgeous view?!

Acrobatic dancing on a string of balloons- as ya do at David Guetta :p

Another favourite of ours was Ushuaia where we went to two events, David Guetta and Departures which was so much fun. As the DJ's play their sets the aeroplanes arriving to Ibiza airport fly over the stage which was super cool.

Vogue's FNO at Thomas Lyte 2012

September 6th saw Vogue's Fashion's Night Out come back to London where the wonderful Thomas Lyte in Burlington Arcade, Mayfair invited me back as one of their live illustrators for the event. Burlington Arcade was transformed into a burlesque themed emporium where visitors were treated to an evening of performance artists, popcorn and candyfloss. In the store we were joined by Marie Claire writers and beauty editors, all in all an incredibly fun evening!

Teatum Jones a la LFW

Here are some of my snaps of the Teatum Jones presentation on the first day of London Fashion Week. I love their use of print on the silk which brings a feminine and beautiful tone to the collection.
Happy LFW everyone! x

FNO @ Thomas Lyte

During the evening of Vogue's Fashion Night Out, I also took part in an event with Thomas Lyte where I was working as a live illustrator drawing people who attended the event with the luxury leather handbags. I had so much fun and was great to have people enjoying the illustrations I had done of them.

Vogue's FNO @ Harvey Nichols

Jam jar drinking glasses <3

Bingo bar

Last week I was back at the Fiona Leahy studios to work on the Vogue Fashion's Night Out event at Harvey Nichols. The theme was a circus/ fairground with stalls that facilitated a haberdashery for designers such as Emma Cook, J.W Anderson, Peter Pilotto and Jonathan Saunders to name a few- where they customised the FNO t-shirts. I spent two days prop-making and then finally installing the event of the first floor. It was a great event that included details such as 'Pin the tail on Karl Lagerfield' and cocktails served in jam jars :)

Vogue Experience

Yesterday afternoon I attended the Vogue Experience hosted by Franca Sozzani- editor-in-chief of Italian Vogue at Harvey Nichols.
Franca was joined by expert fashionistas including fashion editor of The Times Lisa Armstrong, Christopher Kane, Manolo Blahnik and Phillip Treacy to name a few. I had the chance to show Franca my portfolio, have a chat and had her sign my issue of Vogue Italia- she even took my business card :)
The event was great- lets hope Vogue Italia visit again soon!

Vivienne Westwood AW11 Gold Label

I had the most amazing time in Paris; the Vivienne Westwood AW11 Gold Label show was fantastic! The garments were so beautiful, alot more extravagant, intricate and special pieces in comparison to Red Label. Vivienne and husband Andreas were a lot more hands on with this collection, carefully going through every look and styling it with the accessories. I even got to walk down the runway myself! Model Irina Lazareanu was running late so during the rehearsal the head of production asked me to step in which was so funny, so there I am in front of Eliza Cummings walking down the Paris runway with all the gorgeous six foot something models in full hair, makeup and heels...and then me:

Now some photos of the real models, ha!
